Question: Once I apply for a position, how long until someone contacts me?
Answer: Our recruitment team will contact you within one week either via phone or e-mail.

Q: How do I check the status of my application?
A: You can view the status of your application by visiting the Careers page on Renown.org. Once there, click on Manage Your Profile and access the site using the same username and password you created. After logging into your account, click on the Application History tab to view the status.

Q: How many positions can I apply to?
A: You may only have a maximum of five active applications at any given time.

Q: Do I need to fill out the application or can I just cut and paste my resume?
A: We require you to complete the full application and we encourage you to attach your resume. Find out how you can put your best foot forward with these resume and interview tips.

Q: I applied for a position and no longer see it on your careers section; does that mean I am no longer being considered?
A: You may still be considered for a position, even if it has been taken off our website. We will contact you by phone or email once the requisition has been closed.

Q: I applied for one position but there are many similar ones posted. Do I have to apply for all that I am interested in?
A: Yes, you will need to apply for all positions/areas you are interested in being considered for unless otherwise told.

Q: I have a felony/conviction from the past, does this mean I will not be considered?
A: Not necessarily or automatically, but we will look at all backgrounds individually.

Q: Do you offer sponsorship for foreign workers?
A: Renown Health is unable to sponsor at this time.

Q: Once I apply for a position, how long do you keep my application/resume?
A: Renown Health will keep your application on file for a minimum of one year.

Q: What is a “per diem” job?
A: A per diem is an as-needed position where you may be asked to take shifts at various times and schedules; there is no set schedule.

Q: How should I dress for my interview?
A: We recommend that you dress professionally.

Q: Can I contact the manager directly?
A: Candidates will work with a recruiter directly, unless otherwise directed.

Q: Can I job shadow?
A: Renown Health currently does not offer job shadowing, however we would ask that you work with your recruiter in order to understand the specifics of the position that you are interested in.

Q: I am a new graduate nurse from outside the area; can I apply for any position?
A: While Renown Health welcomes all graduate nurses to apply, we will first contact graduate nurses from the Reno/Sparks area.
